This version was a compendium of Stronghold and an improved version of Stronghold: Crusader, with additional characters and an additional Crusader route. The game was also released as Stronghold Warchest.
Although the Arab forces do not need weapons to produce them, they are quite expensive. The game features a number of new Arab units that can be purchased in a new building called the Mercenary Post. Crusader has much in common with the original Stronghold, but differs from its predecessor in that the game is no longer established in England, but in the Middle East. Stronghold Crusader 1 PC Game is the successor to Firefly Studios’ 2001 real-time strategy video game Stronghold.
